The New Year’s resolution is nothing but a wicked deception for the world, a disillusion that is tragically replayed every year. This, however, is not simply due to the fleeting nature of any such motivation to eat better, exercise, or volunteer more, most of which fizzle out by the end of the month anyway, but because the world’s annual attempt at making a New Year’s resolution gives the false impression that the failures of the Old Year are somehow past.
